Oder hat sich da nur einer was gebaut um schlank Telepolis lesen zu können?

Google-Bowling ist noch nicht olympisch aber recht beliebt.

Man legt 'schlechte' Links auf Webseiten, die man aus dem Google-Index raushaben will und 'kegelt' sie so aus den Suchergebnissen. wenn man die eigenen Seiten oder die des Kunden nicht optimieren kann, dann eben so...

Und es gibt erste Anzeichen, dass so etwas aus in deutschland bereits passiert: Ungewollte Backlinks mit Drohung

Mal eine Beobachtung, ohne daraus zu viele Konsequenzen zu ziehen:

Einem Bekannten zeigte ich http://findory.com und erläuterte grob die Funktion. (Die ist grad nicht Thema, ausprobieren ;) )

Faktisch ist das Ding eine Blog-News-web-Suchmaschine mit netten Zusatzfunktionen (lernt Präferenzen, 'transparentes' RSS/Atom-Abonnieren, d.h. man geht mit RSS um, merkt es aber nicht.)

Er, der in der Rüpstungsindustrie arbeitet suchte dort in
a) Blogs
b) News
c) Web

...nach einer aktuellen seine Arbeit betreffenden Abkürzung einer neuen(?) Technologie.

a) 0 Resultate
b) 0 Resultate
c) durchaus einige Resultate, ein 'Test-KLick' auf eine Seite einer (?)Rüstungsfirma ergab ein ' Der Server verweigert die Auslieferung dieser Seite an Sie.' (Implizierend: Sie sitzen im falschen Land.)

Mal statt als Überlegung als Frage(n):
* Was heißt das für die Funktion von Blogs als 'watchdogs'?
* Was heißt das für die Funktion der Presse als 'watchdogs'?
* Muss ich nur in den USA selbst sein, dann krieg ich die Info, die für Europäer 'geheim' ist? (Es gibt ja auch proxys, wie isses wenn man per AOL drin ist?)

Wer mehr zu Findory.com wissen will, sagt bitte Bescheid. Ich find es ganz nützlich für meine aktuellen Zwecke.

On Google, [blogbusinessworld.blogspot.com] ranks #8 out of an incredibly mind boggling 158,000,000 returns. You read that correctly. 158 million search results. writes Wayne Hurlbert and WebProWorld: Blogs Equal SEO Power In Searches">mentions that he follows the World Bank and the BBC on the page.

Now: Is this relevant? Is this what a 'customer' would look for? What kinda customer would? If what the bologs 'sells' waht the customer wants to buy?

OK, some might find it, bookmark it and maybe come back to it occasionally.

If someone wants business consulting from someone not too far away they might enter 'business consulting' and the name of their state or city. If they want to get consulted on business blogging, they might do the same. If they want to read fresh information about the business world they might rather enter their field of experience. If you don't have those keywords: Bye bye ranking.

I myself have a #3 position for the German word 'Literatur' at Google (not for my blog) and many visitors find my site that way. Some might bookmark it or rather check it occasionally for information on their field of interest. If I can offer that (and they wanna buy a book from Amazon) I 'sell'. If not: I won't profit from the ranking. I will profit if people combine the searchword with a more relevant term I have information on. And that I think is the real value of blogs:

You won't only get position for your major keywords but for everything you talk about: real concepts, real and new topics. Not only your boilerplate keywords that describe your business in general.

If you really make your blog the mirror of what your read and think each day - you will havest what you bring out: People with those topics in mind will find you. If found it possible to reach "Google Page 1" with well written articles that adress current discussions and that other bloggers find interesting enough to link to.

Some topics, some comments on other blogs and some trackbacks will bring you a 'long tail' of visitors for weeks and months to come.

I just did a little experiment:

* Checked the Pagerank of a page that is - as I suspect - affilliated with a PR-Optimizer.
* It was 7/10. (Wow.)
* I took 4 "relevant" keywords (not changing their sequence) from that page (it was a link directory) and entered it into Google.
* First result was a Yahoo! directory page (chapeau, Google ;-) )
* I checked the PR of the Yahoo! page.
* It was 5/10.
* Oops!

If you want to have the details you will have to use e-mail; bm(a)carpe.com - as I do not wish to come into legal conflict with the unnamed SEO.

Or you just do a little experiment of your own ;)

I can disclose:
* My Google-Search was:
http://www.google.com/search?q=ausbildung+beruf+computer+technik
* The first result that looks like an 'optimized' page is on page 2 (PR=0!)
* The page I got the keywords from is not on pages 1 or 2, but... oh well ;-) What shows up on page 3 is a subpage with PR...6.

Funny detail: Page 2 mentions a page that just has a server error as it's output.

Summary: Just forget about PR as a measure if your page will come up on page 1 at Google.

Datasheet:
* 28 Referrer, viele davon von Tickern oder Google
* 2 Trackbacks, davon eins vom Business-Blog (8 Besucher) und eins vom wiwo-Job-Blog (5)
* Auch in Kombi mit 'Unkosten' und 'Anmelden' gibt es Google-Seite-1-Platzierungen dieses Postings.

Folgerung:
* MIt Weblogs, die die spezifischen Themen von Freiberuflern behandeln, ließe sich - vor allem bei der Kombi von Suchbegriffen - eine akzeptale Marketing-Präsenz bei Google sichern.
* Zielmarkt bzw. Dienstleistung wäre die Beratung von Freiberuflern (z.B. Leute mit Ich-AG, die die Beratung gefördert kriegen)

Pitch:
* Hab ich schon erwähnt, dass ich im Auftrag der Agentur für Arbeit Freiberufler mit Ich-AG berate? (Also wenn sie schon eine haben ;-) )

OK, I confess. It was a small experiment: I was blogging more stuff on "Matrix" than I should have in brain/map. Just to see what Google did with it. And voila: Matrix has become the top incoming keyword from Google within a week. (And in combination with religion and philosophie/y I even got top 10 placements.
The blogged Matrix-links are recommendable nonetheless ;)

Jaja. Ich geb es ja zu: Es war ein Experiment. Nach dem ersten Matrix -Posting hab ich etwas mehr zu Matrix gebloggt als notwendig. Und voila: Matrix ist nach einer woche das häufigste Google-Suchstichwort bei brain/map.
Die gebloggten Links traugen natürlich trotzdem was *g*
